Nick Marshall is
responsible for directing the development, design, and production of the
George Eastman Museum's gallery exhibitions. Additionally, he oversees
the development and execution of the museum’s public programs, including
You Were Here lecture
series and exhibition-related programming. Marshall teaches photography
and exhibition management courses at the Visual Studies Workshop and is
a practicing artist. He has a MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology
and a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design.
Dan was born in
Rochester, New York in 1955. He received a BFA from the Rochester
Institute of Technology in 1993 and a MFA from Bard College in 1994.
He is presently an Associate Professor in Fine
Art Photography at the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at RIT.
He considers himself an artist with a distinctive sensitivity for
dealing with nuances of light and color. His concern with photography
lies in coaxing insight from the seemingly ordinary. Dan has
ongoing bodies of work that separately, or when grouped together with
specificity, might suggest an implied narrative.
